I have never really had alot of problems with acne growing up... I usually only broke out a little when that time of the month would come around. I am now 28 and I have more problems with acne now than I ever did. I don%26#039;t know why but I think alot of it has to do with stress. Can anyone give me any advice on products to use and maybe tell me why now all of a sudden I have problems with acne
Thanks in advance :)|||neutrogena is better|||distant Use %26quot;ARTISTRY CLEAR.NOW%26quot; line of products. We tend to be less focused on important issues like sleeping better and eating in a well rounded way (drink water, sleep 8 + hours, and touching on good foods). So we get run down and a break out happens.
I honestly believe we are what we eat and we should focus on doing a really good regime.
Arbonne makes a wonderful regime called Clear Advantage. It%26#039;s a 4 step regime wash, toner, cream with a daily supplement to fight acne before it starts.
I also like that it doesn%26#039;t have a lot of the harsher chemicals in it that many brands to -
It also comes with a (free) eye cream which is nice to combat the aging thing too - just a suggestion.
My son uses it with great success and his MD endorsed it because of it being botanical and good for you -|||Adult acne is can have several causes. Here are articles about it: http://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-t…

Personally, I recommend Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Cleansing Pads. One side is smooth %26amp; the other side is textured for extra exfoliation.
Alternate w/ a benzoyl peroxide wash like Oxy 10 or PanOxyl bar soap. BP can be drying %26amp; make your skin sensitive to the sun so adjust according %26amp; use sunscreen.
If you don%26#039;t like benzoyl peroxide, try a toner or face mask w/ salicylic acid. (ex. Neutrogena %26amp; Aveeno)
Clay masks can help too. I like Beauty w/o Cruelty, Murad and Origins Charcoal Mask. Neutrogena makes a clay mask/toner w/ b.p. that%26#039;s good for spot treatment or if you%26#039;re skin gets really oily during hot weather.
You can also apply a thin layer of plain Milk of Magnesia %26amp; let it dry for 5-10 minutes. This mask will absorb oil %26amp; temporarily tighten pores.
Desert Essence Blemish Stick is a great spot treatment. It%26#039;s available @ Trader Joe%26#039;s, Whole Foods, etc.
Here are some other remedies to consider:
Crush up 6 plain, uncoated aspirin tablets and mix it w/ a little water to make mask.
Or use one of these variations to make a cleanser or mask:
Mixture: 6 crushed aspirins, mixed with the liquid facial cleanser at hand (I usually use either cetaphil or tersaseptic), and 1-2 drops of tea tree oil.
Mix half a teaspoon of crushed tablets with Queen Helene Mint Julep mask and aloe vera gel.
Held 6 aspirin in your palm, and slowly dripped water onto them until they fizzled and dissolved! Once dissolved, add 2-3 drops of honey into it and mixed it around with my finger. Applied to face. Keep it on 15-20 mins.
Mix 6 aspirin tablets with a little aloe to make a mask.
Use about 6 uncoated tablets, witch hazel, tee trea oil, and aloe to make a thin paste.
Use a toner. Witch hazel w/o alcohol or little alcohol or
for toner
or
8 ounce bottle of distilled water add four uncoated aspirin
or
mix of 1/2 water, 1/2 witch hazel, 15 aspirin, and 2 drops of tea tree essential oil and 2 drops of rosemary essential oil

I tried a lot of stuff and it works a few weeks then my skin got used to it I guess. So I finally tried Proactive, it%26#039;s fairly expensive, and I%26#039;ve heard both bad and good about it. But it works for me! It%26#039;s worked for about 7 months now and the 3 step program has a lotion as the 3rd step! For most it doesn%26#039;t dry skin, but I have found I get dry skin over the winter. So you can use any moisturizer as long as it doesn%26#039;t have lots of oils in it. Also use oil free make up remover. Shea Body Butter made by Tree Hut works good. But I use it at night as it takes a while to soak in. After I wash my face in the morning, before applying make up I use Fresh White Musk Fantasy by PERFUMES de COEUR. It works great and dries fast so you can apply your makeup over it. That%26#039;s what I do... hope this helps!|||Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash

-works for me :)|||Acne is no longer just an issue for young skin - adult-onset acne can persist for people in their 30s, 40s and even beyond. Many factors have influenced this phenomenon - stress, hormonal fluctuations, genetic predispositions and even environmental factors. It happened to me too.
I use Skinlogics from BeautiControl and it helps to keep mine at bay for the most part. But, if that doesn%26#039;t do the trick, they also have an acne line called All Clear. I%26#039;ve had many clients that use the All Clear after using/trying many other treatments out there and this works the best for them. As for me...Skinlogics is enough.
Hope that helps!|||I empathize with you. You sound a lot like me. But, you can eliminate acne, and reduce the amount of pimples and outbreaks that you have, no matter how many products you may have tried that failed. From the time that I was 13, until the time that I was 36, I suffered from severe acne. I had acne all over my face; and I also had blackheads all over my back. I went to the dermatologist; but he provided little help. All of the topical solutions, including Retina-A, only irritated my skin more. Everyone kept telling me that my acne would disappear once I got older. This was partially true; but although I had less bumps as I aged, the number of blemishes and spots on my face increased. Frustrated by years of acne, I decided to seek an all-natural solution to my bumps and blemishes. I had been a customer of Proactiv and Nature’s Cure for years, and of course they both worked for 1 month or so and then did nothing for the next three months. It seemed as though my acne learned to adapt. But, don’t be dismayed. Your story does not have to be the same as mine. I learned several methods for eliminating acne besides steaming your face, using chemical peels, and using pore strips.
Avoid alcohol, acids, and chemical solutions. Your skin needs to train itself to balance “sebum” and oil and naturally fight bacteria. Alcohols, salicylic acid, Retina-A, and benzoyl peroxide, actually dry the skin; and because they are synthetic, acne-causing bacteria become immune to the chemically created solutions. Why? Because chemical solutions are created to treat the type of bacteria they sought to treat that was in existence when the solutions were made. Unfortunately, bacteria are living organisms and they learn to mutate quickly. When mutation occurs, salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide fail.
.
Go all-natural. Essential oils, natural herbs, and natural nutrients are the best way to kill acne. Fight nature by using nature. Essential oils are higher powered and more effective than any acid or peroxide created in a lab that was “derived” from some natural source. They are extremely potent and not harmful to your skin. Furthermore, they actually help to balance sebum without making your skin oily. The best product on the market that has essential oils and kills acne is Beauty 4 Ashes Acne Eliminating Facial Kit. The makers claim that there stuff works overnight; and I have to say, it really does. It exfoliates and cleans your skin brilliantly. This product is also packed with lots of skin healing ingredients, including Aloe Vera. In the two months that used it, my acne and scars literally disappeared. Best yet, in one year, my acne and blemishes have not returned and my pores have shrank. Beauty 4 Ashes has several skin care products created to treat acne, but I recommend ordering their kit first to get a bit of everything. You can find it online at www.discoverb4a.com.
Consider taking flax oil on a regular basis. You need to keep your system clean. But, you don’t need to spend tons of money on vitamins labeled nature’s cure. All you need to do is to flush your system of unnatural chemicals and preservatives that might be triggering your breakouts. You can buy flax oil anywhere. Check out Vitamin Shoppe or WalMart.|||First off do not listen to the people who tell you proactive, the celebs are paid to do those commercials and probably don%26#039;t even use it, it made my skin even worse
I have battled with oily/acne prone skin since high school and have tried every over the counter product and nothing ever worked or was short lived
The best stuff I have found is Dermalogica I use their anti-bac cleanser which is for oily/acne prone skin and I also use their oil control lotion which can also be used as a moisturizer
