What would be the best foundation for acne prone skin?

I know it would be best to not even wear any at all, but I am human and I%26#039;d love to look my best of course!|||I know how you feel, I have oily and acne skin with a lot of acne scars. And I recently found Revlon Colorstay. It%26#039;s very, very good. I use the one for oily skin mostly because it gives better coverage than the normal. It covers EVERYTHING. It%26#039;s amazing. It is a little pricey depends where you buy it but I got mine for like 11.00 anf the it was buy one get 1 free. This foundation stays on all day, no matter what. I used to always have to touch up but I always looks fresh and natural and very very pretty and flawless. I just started using it. I switched to it from bare minerals. This stuff it great. You could also get the kind for normal skin if you don%26#039;t need as much coverage. But the one for oily skin is my fav because it covers better, doesn%26#039;t shine, lasts ALL day and I mean all day it stays on until you take it off. Although it might look a bit different but it stills looks great. People are always complimenting my skin. And I have very bad skin. And it doesn%26#039;t break me out, and it has a little spf in it not much I think it%26#039;s like 6. I%26#039;m not sure. But they also make a colorstay active. I%26#039;ve never tried it but it%26#039;s supposed to stay on through sweating and stuff. But I don%26#039;t think it has a much coverage. To apply the foundation I would use a sponge or foundation brush, but you have to work fast, you don%26#039;t even need to apply it to your whole face it you don%26#039;t need it, sometimes I just use it as a concealer. DON%26#039;T go with bare minerals. I tried it. I have your exact skin and I thought it would be PERFECT for my skin. But it wasn%26#039;t I was so disappointed. It is good for your skin, it%26#039;s very good actually. But if you have oily skin-STAY AWAY. I%26#039;ve learned from experience. I thought it would e GREAT for my oily and acne skin.It gives GREAT coverage but the oils in my skin fades it in a few hours and looks horrible, even with the mineral veil. It is a very good product, it covers zits well and makes you look flawless healthy and radiant but it comes off with oily, probably even comination skin. This is mostly for normal or dry skin. Also if you touch your face it rubs off almost completely so your skin look so weird and blotchy if you touch your face a lot. If you have dry or normal or combination(maybe) skin it will work GREAT for you but again oily, don%26#039;t get it! Here%26#039;s come reviews for colorstay

Sorry for making you read all this!|||I would recommend the following three foundations, since I also have terrible, acne prone skin:

1) Rimmel Recover Illuminating Anti-fatigue Foundation

2) Cover FX or Natural FX foundation

3) Revlon Colorstay

I currently use the Rimmel foundation. I use the shade %26#039;True Ivory%26#039;. I am fair skinned but my skin is much darker than a lot of pale people, but is too light to be considered tanned or medium. I like this foundation because it matches my skin tone perfectly and does not oxidize. I absolutely hate it when I apply foundation and it looks great, but as the day goes by it turns orange. This does NOT happen with this foundation. It is also around $9 at drug stores. There are a tiny bit of sparkles in the foundation, but they are not even noticeable to me. Also this foundation does not look cakey and does not settle into any creases or fine lines. It also lasts through a night of clubbing and sweating, and does not fade away. I think this is very important since many other foundations would fall off but only leave a ring of foundation around my blemishes, which looks really weird.

The Natural FX and Cover FX foundations are AWESOME. If you want to look like a plastic, airbrushed doll than buy this foundation. However it is very pricey and costs around $40-$45 CDN + tax at drugstores. It also matches your skin tone perfectly. However if you were to wear this while clubbing, it does tend to look a bit shiny if you sweat plus it doesn%26#039;t last throughout the whole night (if you were touching your face).

The Revlon Colorstay is a great foundation because it provides a lot of coverage. However it is also a bit pricey and costs about $13 CDN + tax at drug stores. It also tends to somewhat oxidize (turns orange as the day goes by). My other problem with this foundation is that once you put on, it really stays on. That may sound great but at the end of the night you literally have to scrub your face like crazy in order to remove it. I have acne scars (which unfortunately left holes in my face) and the foundation really stuck into these areas. It is really, really hard to remove (even with make-up removers), which is not good since you have to cleanse all make-up off your skin before bed.

I hope I helped! Good luck!|||I get all of my make up at Merle Norman. I use a little concealer on problem areas and then I apply a little tinted moisturizer around my face and then finish it with some powder. So go to a Merle Norman store and they%26#039;ll help you choose your shade :)

It%26#039;s good for your skin and looks beautiful and flawless.

I hope I helped:)|||Elizabeth Arden its foundation is very skin friendly and also remember not to choose oil based foundations|||Neutrogena liquid foundation has salicylic acid to prevent and treat acne|||bare minerals because all of the minerals!!! it has great coverage too!!
